They bought a home in Belton and began their lives together. Maria worked for many years as a welder in the Belton/Temple area and a few years in the food service industry at a local restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Sotello; parents, Esteban and Eloisa Garcez and Manuel Amaya; both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Maria is survived by her sisters, Amelia Fraga (the late Bonifacio Fraga Sr), Eloisa Hernandez (Catarino), both of Runge, and Janie Rodriguez of Victoria; George Castillo, “The Son of Her Heart”, of Belton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. My condolences to the Sotello family during this difficult time. In the Bible, Jehovah God gives us hope. Acts 24:15 says, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Revelation 21:4 says, “and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.” Very soon we will see the fulfillment of these promises here on Earth. We hope you find comfort in God’s promises.
