Vicente M. Castaneda of Runge, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born January 22, 1935, in Runge, to the late Marcelino and Anita Martinez Castaneda.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana Rossett Castaneda; and sister, Maggie Mendez.

Vicente is survived by his children, Fernando (Lidia) Castaneda of San Antonio, Roselinda (Chuck) Funk of Syracuse, Utah, Martin (Yolanda) Castaneda of Kenedy, Ernest Castaneda of Runge, Nancy (Ruben) Perez of Runge, Terry (Lisa) Castaneda of Goliad; brother, Manual Castaneda of Tulia; 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Finch Funeral Chapel - Runge. Funeral mass will be 10 AM, Monday, October 21, 2013, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Runge. Interment will follow at Runge Latin American Cemetery.
