Sandra Lee "Sandy" Marshall
Sandra Lee Marshall, (Sandy) was affectionately known as “SaSa” by her family, went to be with the lord on Tuesday August 27th 2013 at the age of 66, after a brave and courageous battle with COPD. Sandy was born on August 1st, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Calvin and Evelyn Hartsfield. Sandy enjoyed playing softball and cheerleading while attending Sam Houston High School. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1965, and went on to marry Don E. Marshall in 1966. Throughout her life, Sandy enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing with her family and friends in South Texas, Colorado and the African plains. Sandy along with her husband, Don; raised world champion Appaloosa horses from the late 60’s through the 80’s. She was a life member of the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, member of the Appaloosa Horse Club, and a member of the Go Rodeo Committee. It was easy to see that Sandy loved and cared for animals. She had many dearly loved pets that she cared for, her favorite of them being her Chihuahua “Pixie” and her African Gray parrot named “Jr”. Sandy’s life was filled with the love and joy for her husband and family. We will all miss her very much and will hold her close to our hearts forever.
