Roy L. Spear, age 72, of Sutherland Springs, Texas passed away on August 31, 2013. He was born on July 12, 1941 in Harlingen, Texas to Bennett Spear and Opal (Runyon) Spear. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Dewey Steffens; and sister, Doris Kimsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jennabeth (Taylor) Spear; sons, Troy Spear and wife Deborah, Travis spear and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Taylor Spear, Devin Otten, Jocelyn Spear, Ty Spear; sister, Dorothy Sekula and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
