Roman Mungia, Sr., 61, of Yorktown, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was born March 10, 1952, in Yorktown, to Gilbert and Teresa Rodriguez Mungia.

Roman is survived by his children, Roman Mungia, Jr., Joseph Mungia, Kathy Mungia, Andrea Mungia, and Veronica Mungia; brothers: Gilbert, Jr., Valerio, Armando, Martin and Ruben Mungia, Joe Nunez, and Tony Campos; sisters, Lucia Davila, Gloria Gomez and Debbie Alvarez; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alicia Barrera and Yolanda Mungia; brothers, Jimmy and Rene Mungia.

Visitation is 5-8pm with a rosary at 7pm, Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral service is 2 pm, Monday, December 16, 2013, at San Luis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Rios, Aaron Rios, Andrew Rios, Frank Alvarez, Jr., Charlie Lucas and Shawn Barefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Rios, Jeffrey Rios, Joseph Mungia, Jr., Isaiah Roman Mungia and his grandchildren.
