Regina Cielencki Stanush, age 85, passed away on January 6, 2014. She was born on September 7, 1928 in Adkins, Texas to Michael Cielencki and Elizabeth (Sowa) Cielencki. Regina was a homemaker, expert seamstress, and was manager at Martinez Social Club. Regina was the last surviving member of the Michael Cielencki family. She retired from Borden Milk and she also worked at Joskes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Stanush; 2 infant sons, Jerome Jr. and Adam; grandson, C.J. Carmichael; sisters, Eugena Weichold, Maggie Little, Josephine Watts, Louise Martin; brother, Raymond; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Regina is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Carmichael and husband Steve; granddaughter, Chelsea Carmichael; great-granddaughter, Beretta Ebbitt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia, Texas and a Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m.
