Pauline Sims Hill passed from this life to her life eternal on December 17, 2013, at the age of 97. She was born in Rains County, Texas on December 3rd, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marvin W. Hill; parents, Ed and Opal Sims; brothers, Melton, Carl, and Herman Sims; sister, Lois Sims Schindler. Pauline and Marvin were devoted to their Lord and committed to family and community. They leave their legacy of faith and faithfulness to God, Country, and their family of 5 children and 77 grandchildren. They were faithful members of LaVernia First Baptist Church. They were also members of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. In recent years, Pauline faithfully attended worship services at Eden Hill Chapel in New Braunfels. Pauline is survived by her children, Joyce and RJ Moehrig of Rocksprings, Marlene and Stephen Moore of New Braunfels, Barbara and James Fillinger of Helotes, Sue and Rudy Fuselier of Garden Ridge, Melton Hill of New Caney; brother, Marvin Sims and wife Christine of Taft; sister-in-law, Doris Sims of Mexia; numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. A Visitation will be held, Wednesday, December 18th from 6pm-8pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, LaVernia.
