Mary Frances Dworaczyk, 96, of Yorktown, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born April 11, 1917, in Yorktown, an only child to the late Mike and Agnes Broll Biemer. She was a member of the Altar Society and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.

As a child, Mary had the responsibility of helping her parents with the farm work by working in the field, yard, and with the housework. She attended the Holy Cross Catholic School in Yorktown. In 1938, she married August Dworaczyk at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown. Later, they became farmers. After her children were out of college, she worked at the Yorktown hospital for 14 years during which time they had moved into town, leaving the hard work of farming behind.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Rosemary (Howard) McElroy of Cuero; son, Kenneth (Lynn) Dworaczyk of Shiner; grandchildren, Dwayne (Belinda) McElroy, Clinton (Lisa) McElroy, Felicia (Brett) Johnson, Randall (Stacey) Dworaczyk, Spencer (Jo Ann) Corbin, and Brent (Christi) Corbin; and great-grandchildren, Courtney (Brett) Patton, Savannah McElroy, Cody McElroy, Jessica McElroy, Alex McElroy, Tanner Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Joseph Dworaczyk, Jacob Dworaczyk, Mason Corbin, Blake Corbin, Brendan Corbin and Brice Corbin; and great-great-grandson, Beck Patton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be 5:30-8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm, Friday, June 21, 2013, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be 9:30 am, Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
