Maggie Irene Shaver, age 93, of Cassville, Missouri, went to be with her Lord on November 15, 2013. She was born to the late Arthur and Hattie Wiley on February 25, 1920 in Stockdale Texas. Irene attended Grammar and High School in Stockdale Texas. At the age of 18, she married W.H. Shaver on July 16, 1938. With this union they had a son, Charles Edward and a daughter, Lela Ruth. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a home maker; she enjoyed sewing, spending time with family and attending church. Irene was a powerful example of how a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother should live their life. She and her husband resided in San Antonio, Texas until 1980, when they moved to Southwest Missouri and resided there for over 35 years.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, William Hubert Shaver, her son, Charles Edward Shaver and both parents. She is survived by her daughter, Lela Barnes; two grandchildren, Troy Green and his wife Brenda and Lisa Cornell and her husband Steve; four great grandchildren, Chad Green and his wife Jessica, Alecia Lewis and her husband Chris; Jennifer Green and Steven Cornell.
