Our precious mother, Lillie V. Mendoza, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born to the late Elias and Leonor Mascorro Villarreal on September 15, 1935.

Lillie is survived by her children, Diana (Joe) Garcia of Runge, Reyes Jr. (Diana) Mendoza of San Antonio, Alvaro (Norma) Mendoza of San Antonio, Norma Linda (Enrique) Ramos of Runge, Rebecca (Ricardo) Gutierrez of San Antonio, Dalia DeLeon of Runge, Sonia Mendoza of Runge, and Lillie (Eric) Sifuentes of Victoria; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Cosme Villarreal, Elias Villarreal, Jr, Cosme “Cos” Villarreal and Lorenzo Villarreal, all of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reyes Mendoza, Sr; an infant daughter, Sylvia Mendoza; sons, Lasarito Mendoza and Arturo Mendoza, Sr; brothers, Thomas Villarreal, Stephen Villarreal and Frank Villarreal; sisters, Francisca Martinez, Tomasa Leal and Evarista Davila.

Visitation will begin at 4 pm with a rosary at 7 pm, Friday, January 10, 2014, at Finch Funeral Chapel-Runge. Funeral mass will be at 3 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2014, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Runge. Interment will follow at Runge Latin American Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Reyes Mendoza, III, Cain Mendoza, Rene Vasques, Jr., Davis Diaz, Jr, Ryan Albiar, and Dalia DeLeon. Honorary pallbearers will be Arturo Mendoza, Jr and Thomas Mendoza.
