Johnnie L. Bohannon of New Berlin, TX entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born on September 4, 1926 to Leonard Benjamin and Laura Reilly (Brown) Bohannon in New Berlin. Johnnie was a former devoted employee of Richters Buttercrust Bakery. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edith Brietzke and husband Walter, Willie Earna Koepp and husband Charlie, and Nell Bolton and husband Roman. Johnnie is survived by his loving wife, Evangeline “Mutsie” Bohannon; daughters, Diane Craig and husband Charles, and Susan Edwards and husband Roger Edwards; sons, Leonard Bohannon and wife Rhoda, and John E. Bohannon and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Melissa O’Malley and husband John, Allison White and husband Allen, David Edwards, Jennifer Homeyer and husband Ty, Marcie Jenkins and husband Jason, Michael Edwards and wife Katie, Nikki Denman and husband Charlie, Staci Bohannon, Jonathan Bohannon, Charles Bohannon, Elizabeth Bohannon, Jessica Jonas and husband Duane, Kyle Bohannon and wife Amber, Lorin Nagelmueller and husband Travis, and Ashley Zuehl; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia.
