John Louis Priddy, 79, of Goliad, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. He was born August 12, 1934, in Seymour, TX, to Othal and Fern Stevens Priddy.

John retired from General Telephone Company after 32 years on the job. He was a people person who never met a stranger. John was also an avid rancher and fisherman and enjoyed a fishing trip to Alaska with his son, son-in-law, and grandsons. He was a faithful member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Weesatche.

John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bertha Koenig Priddy; daughter, Toni Kinney and husband Stephen; son, Ron Priddy; grandchildren, Lori McAdams, Cory and Whitney McAdams, Raymond Priddy and Robin Priddy; great-granddaughter, Avery Grace McAdams; sisters-in-law, Ann Priddy and Lavon Priddy; brother-in-law, Mike Wall; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Creston Priddy and Charles Priddy; sister, Ann Wall; and son-in-law, Joey McAdams.

Visitation is 1-2 pm and service at 2 pm, Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Finch Funeral Chapel with Rev. C. B. Suggs officiating. Interment will follow at Weesatche Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cory McAdams, Raymond Priddy, Joe Koenig, Luke Anderson, Josh Volking, and Vernon Hagan. Honorary pallbearer will be Alfred Koenig.
