Obituary for Jeffery Neal Thompson

The Heart and Strength of his family – loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend; Jeffery Neal Thompson went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2013 at the age of 59. He was born on October 23, 1954 in Castroville, Texas to G.B. “Bud” Thompson and Clara (Hammer) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roy R. Thompson and niece, Elaine Thompson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Robin (Blow) Thompson; daughters, Amy Real and husband Brandon, Sarah Perales and husband Eloy III, sisters, Trudy Smith and husband Sam, Jan Kayser and husband Ron; sister-in-law, Marilyn Thompson; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and friends. Jeff was full of life and loved his wife and daughters beyond words. He had a love for music and shared this from a young age. He had a country western band that had South Texas two-stepping for over 30 years. Jeff was an avid sports fan and would not miss rooting for his favorite teams – Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Texas Rangers. He was a member of the St. Ann’s LaVernia Knights of Columbus council and took pride in helping others. Jeff had a generous heart and his everlasting love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will celebrate his life and all of the good things he taught us on Sunday, January 5, 2014 with a visitation from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Annunciation of the BVM Catholic Church in St. Hedwig with a Rosary at 7:00pm.
