Gerald Duelm, lifelong resident of LaVernia, passed away October 8, 2013 at the age of 67. He was born July 1, 1946 in San Antonio to Edward O. Duelm and Irene Louise (Frimel) Duelm. Gerald honorably served in the U.S. Army; was a member of Hermann Sons and the V.F.W. He spent his entire life farming and ranching and owned a drywall business for many years. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Lothar Puhlmann. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Duelm; son, Jason Duelm and wife Melanie; grandsons, Tommy, Andrew, and Matthew Duelm; siblings, Shirley Puhlmann, Jeanie Campbell and husband Cliff; sister-in-law, Donna Alderman and husband David; constant canine companion, “Buddy”; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. A visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
