On July 10, 2013, George McGovern of Yorktown, beloved friend and plumber, went home to be with Jesus to join his wife, Maryann McGovern.

George was known for his kindhearted benevolence, and his cowboy sombrero style hat, coined "The McGovern" by his good friends at Apple Lumber.

He was preceded in death by his wife; sisters, Evelyn, Grace, Amy, and Martha Anne; and brother, Henry.

Uncle George will be greatly missed by his extended family, the Browns, Augustines, and Wewes.

A memorial mass will be announced at a later date.
