ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2018, SURROUNDED BY LOVED ONES, FORREST BRIAN PIERDOLLA, AGE 59, OF SEGUIN, WENT TO BE WITH OUR LORD IN HEAVEN AFTER A HARD FOUGHT BATTLE WITH CANCER. FORREST WAS BORN IN SAN ANTONIO, TX ON MARCH 24, 1959 TO FRED AND CHERRY PIERDOLLA. HE ATTENDED SCHOOL IN LA VERNIA. GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 12TH. AFTER HE GRADUATED FROM LA VERNIA HIGH SCHOOL IN 1977, HE ATTENDED TEXAS LUTHERAN COLLEGE, WHERE RECEIVED A DEGREE IN BUSINESS AND GRADUATED IN 1981. WHILE AT TLC, FORREST PLAYED FOUR YEARS OF FOOTBALL. HE WAS KNOWN FOR HIS NO-QUIT, HARD HITTING ATTITUDE AND BECAME A PART OF WHAT IS NOW REFERRED TO AS A CLOSE KNIT, LIFE-LONG “FAMILY” BROTHERHOOD OF FRIENDS. AFTER GRADUATING FROM TLC, FORREST STARTED HIS OWN BUSINESS AND BEGAN HIS CAREER IN THE ROOFING INDUSTRY, WHERE HE SPECIALIZED IN POLYURETHANE FOAM ROOFING AND INSULATION. FORREST WAS VERY MATICULOUS AND WAS KNOWN IN THE FOAM INDUSTRY AS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. FORREST WAS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS; LIFE, WORK, FAMILY AND FRIENDS, HUNTING AND, ESPECIALLY, HIS CHILDREN; JARDYN, HUNTER, AND STEP-SON TYLER HEIDEKE, HIS WIFE, MARY JO AND HIS RACE CAR. MOST PEOPLE IN THE NHRA RACING COMMUNITY ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE 1968 PIERDOLLA AND REEVES RACING SUPER STOCK CAMARO, PAINTED BY THE LEGENDARY ARTIE “SPOOK” LUND. IT IS A THING OF BEAUTY. HE LOVED DRIVING THAT CAR AND DOING WHEELIES IN IT. TOGETHER WITH HIS RACING PARTNER, DAN REEVES, THEY BUILT THE CAR AND TURNED IT INTO A WINNER, EARNING THE TITLE OF 1987 NHRA DIVISION CHAMPIONS. FORREST HAD A ‘LIGHT’ ABOUT HIM THAT DREW PEOPLE TO HIM, LEAVING HIM WITH MANY LIFELONG, TRULY GREAT, LOVING FRIENDS. HE WAS SO BLESSED. FORREST WAS A KIND, GENTLE, LOVING, CARING, WONDERFUL MAN, WHO WAS KNOWN TO BE A LITTLE HARD-HEADED FROM TIME TO TIME. FOR THE PEOPLE WHO KNEW HIM, THEY LOVED HIM AND KNEW THEY WERE BLESSED AND THEIR LIVES WHERE BETTER FOR HAVING KNOWN HIM. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. FORREST IS SURVIVED BY HIS PARENTS, FRED AND CHERRY PIERDOLLA, HIS WIFE, MARY JO MOORE-HEIDEKE PIERDOLLA, HIS DAUGHTER, JARDYN PIERDOLLA AND JUSTIN, HIS SON, HUNTER PIERDOLLA AND KEANA, STEP-SON, TYLER HEIDEKE, GRANDSON, BRIXTON TULLOS, BROTHERS, FRED III AND WIFE SHARON, JEFFERY AND WIFE TRACY, MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN, CATHY BAKER DIXON AND HUSBAND BRADLEY, AND NUMEROUS NIECES, NEPHEWS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS BROTHER, HOLLIS PIERDOLLA.
