David Ray Knetig, 55, of Nordheim, passed away Tuesday, October 8 2013. He was born July 8, 1958 in Gonzales, to the late Alfred and Georgia Winona McCray Knetig. David was an electrician almost all his life.

He is survived by his wife Lissa Weischwill Knetig of Nordheim; children and step-children Raymond, Jessica, Michael, David, Sandy Joynt, Samantha DeForest and Laine; brother Alfred; sisters Patsy Mrkwa and Bertha Harris; grandchildren Christina Henry, Kacie Koenig, Courtney Joynt, Danci Rhodes, Lucas Lynn, Makenna DeForest, Cody DeForest and Skylar DeForest. Also many aunts, uncles, and cousins and in-laws will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nordheim.
