Claudette Jacob, age 72, passed away at her home in La Vernia on Saturday, August 17, 2013. She was born on March 14, 1941 in Kerrville to William Rowland and Melba Clair (Gentry) Nichols. Claudette baked the best oatmeal cookies in the world! She loved everybody’s babies and always had time to encourage and uplift everyone she met. Claudette truly put GOD first in her life. Her parents and her son, Jimmy Ray Jacob, precede her in death. Claudette is survived by her son, Raymond Page Jacob II of La Vernia; sisters, Billie Jean Thompson of San Antonio and Judy Renee Post and her husband, Terry, of La Vernia; brothers William Rowland Nichols, Jr. of Colorado and Johnny Wayne Nichols and his wife, Linda, of La Vernia; many nieces, nephews and other family.
