Bennett Edwin Mitchell, of Smiley, died October 5, 2013 in Cuero. He was born in Cheapside to the late William B. and Rosa (Chew) Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred “Cotton” Mitchell in 2007. He is survived by his son, Jackie D. Mitchell of Smiley; as well as many friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 10 AM – 11 AM at the Bundick Cemetery near Smiley, with a graveside service beginning at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Harlene Sadler will officiate. Serving as Pallbearers: Donnie Janicek, John Robinson, Ricky Parker, Bob Peck, Dickie Ray Burnett and Billy Egger. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
