"Hey Red!" That's what Dad would say. He was most commonly called "Red" by my Dad, Lawrence... not to mention a few other not so nice "names" :) I'm not sure anyone but my Dad could get away with calling him that.
The stories and wonderful memories of David are endless!! We regularly spent Christmas Eve's at our home in Woodlake and Ohio- then back to Christmas' in Texas during my adulthood. As a child, I recall trips to the coast, Alabama, Ohio, and then Niagra falls when Cody was a toddler. I spent time living with them during my early college days. I could go on and on... I am so blessed to have such fond memories of him and family.
Most of us know, he was nothing more than a big baby. I remember fondly how his voice would crack as he'd get so easily choked up. He was a softy and most times wore his heart on his sleeve.
The only joy I take in this is that he is now with Dad and family. I hope Ariel, Josephine, and Lawrence were able to welcome him home and we can all join them one day for a family reunion!!
