I remember my Mom (Frances Lambert) speaking of Winona when they worked at the volunteer library in La Vernia. She thought a great deal of Winona. My sympathy to her family.

For many years now I look on my walls, smile and think of my time with Mrs Alder. I do this because she taught me how to paint the oil creations on my walls. I enjoyed spending time in her studio, kitchen and in her yard learning to paint a beautiful picture. I loved the way she made it look soo easy. Every brush stroke was done so elegantly, soft and almost flawless. Sometimes she would let me go about the house and just admire her creations. I will always think of her when I look at a oil painting and smile. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. She will be missed by many!!

Winona made a positive impression on most everyone she encountered. I was always happy to see her and her contagious smile and positive attitude was so welcome. She will be greatly missed by so many folks who knew her. I am very lucky that I knew her and counted her as a friend.

I knew Winona when she worked with the volunteer library in La Vernia. She was such a beautiful lady - inside and out. It has been about seven years since I spoke with her, but she was still smiling and enjoying life.
