Sylvia Peña Arce, 69, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Sylvia was born on December 6, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Santos C. Peña and Amelia Perez Peña, who precede her in death along with her son, Raynaldo “Baby Ray” Fonseca, Jr.; sisters, Irma Roma, Dolores Peña, Irene Peña; brother, Santos Diaz Peña; and sister-in-law, Diane Jiminez.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Eliberto Arce; children, Mike “Mikey” Fonseca (Karen), Roxanne Peña “Roxy” (Jeffrey Acuna), and Damian Balderas (Azalea);grandchildren, Autumn, Devhyn, Shyann, Jayden, Alana, Rylan, Aria, Merissa, Liam, and Anthony; sisters, Elvira Casas, Lena Peña Trejo (Pablo), Santos Peña Martinez (Abel), Marianna Peña (Melissa Stewart), and Rosemary Espinosa; brothers, Santos Perez Peña, Ismael Peña, Manuel Peña (Alma) and Marco Colon Peña; mother-in-law, Maria Arriaga; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, 9:30am-10:30am at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon. The funeral service will follow at 10:30am followed by burial at Nixon Latin American Cemetery.
