On October 28, 2021, Salvador “Chale” Fonseca Sr., a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord in heaven, just short of his 93rd birthday. Salvador was born on November 9, 1928, in Nixon, Texas to Felix and Anastasia Fonseca, who precede him in death as well as his wife, Amelia Cano Fonseca; daughter Susan Fonseca Lazo; grandson, Ray "Baby Ray" Fonseca; and sisters, Cipriana Fonseca Riojas, and Antonia Fonseca Ortiz.

Salvador is survived by his children, Carlos Fonseca, Freddie Fonseca (Rosalinda), Reynaldo Fonseca, Salvador Fonseca, Jr., Adell Ramirez (Abel), Gracie Ramirez (Adan), Anastasia Fonseca, Angie Olmos (Juan), and Lisa DeLeon (Rick); son-in-law, Isaias Lazo; brother, Felix Fonseca; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 9:00am-9:30am at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas. The Rosary Vigil will follow at 9:30am, also at Finch Funeral Chapel.
