Obituary for Roy Edward Kotzur
Roy Edward Kotzur, age 78 of Universal City, passed away in San Antonio on November 26, 2022. Roy was born to Edward Maximilian and Lillian Maxine (Stanush) Kotzur on December 20, 1943, in San Antonio. His parents precede him in death.
Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita M. Kotzur; daughter, Tiffany Chapman and husband Peter; brothers, Steven Kotzur and wife Cheryl, and James Kotzur; sister, Sandra Stolowski and husband William; nephews, Matthew Kotzur, Billy Stolowski and Bobby Stolowski; other loving family and many friends.
Roy was a 40-year employee of USAA and a graduate of UTSA. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. One of his proudest accomplishments was creating the Kotzur Family Farm and raising cattle. Roy was also a talented woodworker and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
A Rosary Vigil and Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, St. Hedwig, Texas. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am and Mass will begin at 10:30 am.
Inurnment with military honors will follow immediately after the Mass.
