Roscoe B. McKinney, Jr., 81 of Nixon, Texas went to be with his Lord and Saviour on November 7, 2020. Roscoe was born on December 6, 1938 in San Marcos, Texas to Roscoe B. McKinney, Sr., and Christine (Phillips) McKinney who have preceded him in death along with siblings, Jesse Wallace, and Christine Kindred. Roscoe married Eloise McKinney on August 17, 1961 in Seguin, Texas. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage prior to her death in May of 2019. Roscoe retired from the Marine Corp then went on to serve his community as Gonzales County Constable Precinct 4, from which he also retired.

Roscoe is survived by their three children, Marilyn White (Billy), Carlton McKinney (Brandi), and Brian “B.K.” McKinney (Margaret); grandchildren, Billy White, Jr. (Nikki), Carl White, Joe White (Candice), Taelee Cisneros, Cheyenne Cisneros, Megan Cisneros, Noah Bushur, and Alexis Bushur; great-grandchildren, Carl White Jr., Janaelyn White, Carla White, Billy White III, Janice White, Nya White, Joe White III, and Joe’siah White; sister, Ruth McKinney; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020, 10:00am-11:00am at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

Burial will follow at Harris Chapel-Greater Rising Star Cemetery in Nixon. The Reverend Melvin Carter will be officiant of the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harris Chapel, Nixon, Texas.
