Rosalee Strzelczyk Mergele passed away at home on November 2, 2015 at the age of 84. She was born on August 26, 1931 to Alouis and Clara (Mihalski) Strzelczyk in St. Hedwig, TX. One month ago she celebrated 67 years of marriage to her loving husband, Ervin R. Mergele. Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary Lee Darby and husband Buddy; and brother, Marion Strzelczyk. She is survived by her husband Ervin R. Mergele of St. Hedwig, TX; children, James Mergele and wife Patricia of Adkins, TX, Stephen Mergele and wife Doris of Adkins, Jeffrey Mergele and wife Jennifer of St. Hedwig, and Laurie Susan Lancaster and husband Bill of Lago Vista; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Dahse and husband Elwin of St. Hedwig, and Lucille Durham and husband Tom of Bethlehem, GA; sister-in-law Lucille Strzelczyk of San Antonio; nieces and nephews, Larry, Norman, Arthur, Marion Strzelczyk, Jr., Tom Durham Jr., Diane and husband Michael. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig. The family will welcome visitors beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am and the Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery.
