Obituary for Roger Ray DeHaven

Roger DeHaven passed away peacefully on November 25, 2020. Roger was born February 16, 1943 in Winchester, Virginia to Charles Carson and Eva (Clem) DeHaven who preceded him in death. Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Esther Flores DeHaven; children, Richard T. DeHaven (Crystal), Catherine L. DeHaven Thomas (Michael), Rebecca M. DeHaven White (Christopher Sr.); grandchildren, Jesicca White DeHaven (Cody), Christopher White, Jr. (Vanessa), Richard Chase DeHaven, Jordyn Rae DeHaven (Fiancé, Joshua), Jacob D. White; sisters, Warneta Barlow (SC), Janie Strother (VA) and numerous loving relatives. Roger graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now TX State) with a business degree and retired from the San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Tx in 1994. He served in the U S. ARMY at Fort Sam Houston, and Fort Hood, Texas. He had many hobbies including fishing area lakes, woodworking, wine and bread making and RVing with family. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for the outstanding care given to him during his illness. Specifically, Carol Weger RN, Ms. Cantrell Johnson and Richlyn Gay. Also, Rosie Anderson, CNA, who cared for him daily. Roger was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, La Vernia, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks gifts be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church, new building fund, PO Box 168, LaVernia, TX 78121.
