Obituary for Roberto A. "Bobby" Gonzalez III
Roberto “Bobby” Alfonso Gonzalez, III, age 22, of LaVernia, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 16, 2021. He was born November 10, 1998, to Roberto O. Gonzalez, Jr., and Faleana Lynn (Black) Gonzalez.
Bobby was a very loving young man who cherished and loved his sisters. At La Vernia High School he won several medals in Cross County and was proud to be part of the La Vernia Cross Country team that placed third in state. At St. Ann’s Bobby had been a CCD teacher and volunteered for numerous activities in the parish. He had an opportunity to strengthen his relationship with God by participating in teen ACTS. Bobby was currently a senior at Texas A&M San Antonio and was close to completing his bachelor’s degree in business and was excited about entering the workforce. He enjoyed working out, family hunting trips and beach vacations with his family and friends. These trips created memories that will be cherished by his family forever.
Bobby was greeted in heaven by his beautiful, beloved mother Faleana; maternal grandfather, Billy Black; and uncle Billy Black, Jr. Bobby will be dearly missed by his loving father, Roberto O. Gonzalez, Jr.; sisters, Reilly and Mikayla Gonzalez; paternal grandparents, Robert Sr. and Carrie Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Salome Black; uncles, Ruben Gonzalez, Sr. and wife Elaine and Clint Black; aunts Cindy Gonzalez and Karla Black; cousins, Ruben Gonzalez Jr., Selika De Los Santos; numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7:00pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia.
FUNERAL SERVICE

Pastor Claude Hungerford will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Concrete Cemetery in LaVernia.
Lunch will be served for family and friends at Grace Bible Church after the graveside service.
