Rita F. Real passed to her heavenly home Thursday, December 28, 2023, in La Vernia, Texas, at the age of 92 years. Rita was born August 8, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Joseph Real; son, Steven Real; parents, Adolph Zigmond and Emelia (Stolowski) Zigmond; brothers, Adolph and Herman Zigmond. She is survived by her children, Dwayne Real (Linda), Eva Tusa (David), Gerald Real (Cheryl), David Real (Deanna), Bruce Real (Jolene), Craig Real (Denise), Nancy Jurgajtis (Kenneth), Bryan Real, Lorna Hodge (Jason); grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, and Elizabeth (Real) Caldwell, Dustan Hahnel, Staci Tusa, Jacob, Derek, and Crystal Real, Chris and Kyle Real, Marshall and Travis Pippin, Aaron and Travis Real, Lucas Jurgajtis, Bradley and Brent Real, Shanna and Wyatt Real, Gavin and Garett Hodge; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Pallbearers for Rita will be Lucas, Dustan, Aaron, Chris, Jason, Gavin, Jacob, Bradley, and Wyatt.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Rosary being recited at 9:30 AM.
