Obituary for Reese Nolan Pruski

Reese Nolan Pruski came into our world on Friday, March 12, 1998 in San Antonio, Texas and entered eternal rest with God, our Father, on Monday, October 11, 2021 in Spring Branch, Texas.

Reese graduated from Smithson Valley High School. He worked at Johnson Controls and was attending school to attain his HVAC license. When Reese wasn’t working, he would spend weekends with his family or friends fishing. He enjoyed fishing at the coast, Choke Canyon, the Guadalupe River or any tank he could find. It was said that he had more lures than the shelves of Academy. When he wasn’t fishing, he could be found hunting. He began hunting doves and white-tail deer at a young age with his Dad. As he grew up, he started entering varmint contests with his good buddies.

Reese was adventurous, courageous, strong, and hard-working young man, yet had a gentle, kind spirit. He was known for being a friend to everyone he met. His smile and sense of humor were contagious. He had a unique gift for making others laugh and smile, finding the good in all situations, and always seeing the best in others. Nothing would hold him back from helping others. He spent a lot of time farming and ranching on his grandparents’ land. We know he was a good and faithful servant and is now with the greatest fisherman of all.

Reese was adored by many, especially the family he left behind: His parents, Timothy and Regina Pruski, of San Antonio, and Geraldine Wehe Pruski, of Spring Branch; his bonus brothers, Kenton Luke and wife Jennifer, and Joshua Luke; his grandparents, Jerry and Marilyn Pruski, Donald and Nela Capps, and Nolan Wehe; his nieces and nephews, Catalina, Ryder, Zylee, Jagger, and Kenzlee; his Uncle Rodney and Aunt Sha Pruski, Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Ryan Richter, Aunt Brenda and Uncle Baron Lackey, Aunt Kay Wehe, Aunt Simone and Uncle Jay Elmore, and Aunt Robin Blevins; his cousins, McKinley (Zach) Stepan, Brianna (Ronnie Jr) Urbanczyk, Boudreaux and Briley Lackey, Tannon Martin, Brant and Riley Pruski, Landon, RyRy, Andrew, Brody, and Garrett Richter, Shaley and Jeremy Vaughn, Lane Jimenez and Cash Blevins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Judith Wehe.

Reese will be greatly missed on earth, but we are comforted knowing that he will be waiting for us in heaven. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 30th, visitation with family will begin at 8:30 am followed service 10:00 am at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 7955 Real Road San Antonio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Reese Pruski Scholarship Fund through the Greater San Antonio Education Foundation (www.sabuilders.com) or the charity of your choice.
