Raul Elizondo, Jr. passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home in La Vernia, Texas, at the age of 62. He was born April 29, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas.
Raul will be forever missed and is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sonia Mendoza Elizondo; children, Eric, Stephen, and Victoria Elizondo (Brad Smith); sisters, Mary H. Moralez (John R.), Linda Benitez (Daniel Benitez), Lilly Elizondo (Joe Perales); mother-in-law, Catherine Mendoza; brother-in-law, Arthur Mendoza, sister-in-law, Maria Hoag (Jessie); nieces and nephews, Lori Ann Martinez, Jerry Munoz, Madalin Hoag, Megan Hoag, John Edward Moralez, Ann Marie Moralez, Elizabeth De Chavez, Daniel Benitez, Jr. , Mark Benitez, Celeste Gonzalez, Albert Gonzalez, Karly Gonzalez; great nieces and nephews, Ayden, Marisol, and Rose Gonzalez, Matthew Alvarez, and Destinie Benitez, Sadie Jean Moralez, Lucas Moralez, Gabriella Marroquin, Cameron Moralez; loving fur baby, Hercules.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raul D. Elizondo, Sr. and Mary B. Elizondo (Balleza); father-in-law, Arturo Mendoza, Jr.; nephew, Robert Moralez.
A visitation with family and friends will be held at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia, Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM this same evening.
