Ramona A. (Harms) Sowa, age 77, of La Vernia, Texas passed away September 2, 2015. She was born on March 11, 1938 in Littlefield, TX to William Carl Harms and Johanna Dicey (Arnold) Sowa. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, and son Robert A Sowa. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold W. Sowa; daughters, Sharon Harral (Tommy), Barbara Smith (Tom), Susan Gifford (Mark), Donna Baertich; grandchildren, Jeff Smith (Kirsten), Trey Harral, Jared Harral, Cody Smith (Brooke), Derek Baertich, Dakota Baertich, Haley Gifford, Jake Gifford; great-grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Katelyn Smith and Landon Smith; sister, Genevieve (Harms) Wendland (James); brother, James Harms; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015, 10:00 AM, at St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia, TX. Father Stan Fiuk will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in La Vernia, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made by way of masses or the charity of your choice.
