Obituary for Polly Ann Fowler

Polly Ann Fowler, beloved daughter, sister, best friend, and aunt slipped peacefully into eternal rest on December 6, 2020. Polly was born July 21, 1946 to Clenton Hartwell and Annie (Marinos) Fowler in Laredo, Texas.
Polly began her education at Saint Peter’s Academy through the 8th grade, then graduated from Ursuline Academy before attending the University of Texas where she earned her BA in English and Spanish with a teacher’s certificate, and then continued her education there to earn her master’s degree in counseling. She began her counseling career at Southwest High School and then was a high school counselor at East Central ISD where she eventually retired. After retirement Polly began her own private counseling practice in San Antonio, and with her family helped develop and became the CFO and co-owner of Windmill Crossing RV Park in La Vernia.
Polly was an active member of St Pius X Catholic Church in San Antonio where she enjoyed being the folk choir director for over 39 years. She recently became a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in La Vernia and was a former member of Benedictine Sisters of Boerne, Texas.
Polly is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Constantine Fowler. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Nancy Ann Olinger; sister JoAnn Fowler Altman and brother-in-law, Rodney Warren Altman of Katy, Texas; sister-in-law, Tia Fowler of Bryan, Texas; nephews, Michael Ryan Fowler, wife Courtney and children Ryan and Maggie of Katy, Texas, Jonathan Warren Altman, wife Marti, and children Braun and Riley of Houston, Texas, Matthew Clenton Altman, wife Sarah, and children Addison, Jacob, Samuel, Westley of Belton, Texas.

Due to the current health crisis all services will be private for family only.

Father Phil Henning will officiate the services with interment immediately following.
