Novelle Annie Hollingsworth Clark, formerly of Nixon, Texas, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, in Seguin, Texas at the age of 100 years and 8 months.
Novelle was born on August 4, 1922 in Wilson County, Texas to James Alex and Bessie (Coleman) Hollingsworth. She married Hoyt F. Clark on September 5, 1944 in Gonzalez County, Texas. They had been married for 26 years. Hoyt passed away on September 15, 1970. Novelle is also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Novelle is survived by daughters, Dorothy Fellers and husband Leon of Cuero, Texas, and Janice Glasco and husband James of Nixon; grandchildren, James Darrin Glasco and wife Tia of Angleton, Texas, and Rhonda Marek and husband Russell of Cuero; great-grandchildren, Brett Glasco and Lucy, Brittany Pool and Chance, and Brent Glasco; great-great grandchildren, Jacoby Glasco, Payslie Pool, Grant Pool, Carson Pool, Chandler Glasco, and Avery Glasco; niece, Joyce Connally Friesenhahn and Gerald; nephew, Dwight Cox; numerous great nieces and nephews, loving family and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery. Pastor Terry Post will be officiant of the services. Serving as pallbearers will be James Darrin Glasco, Brett Glasco, Brent Glasco, Jacoby Glasco, Chance Pool, and Russell Marek.
