MSGT Nelson Darrell Parsons, USAF Ret. entered eternal rest on December 12, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born on February 9, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia to Gomer Guy and Mollie Gay (Brannon) Parsons. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary E. (Postalwait) Parsons; daughter, Theresa Brewer; his parents; great-grandson, Kaiden Parsons; and great-granddaughter, Jessalyn Costaneda. He is survived by his wife, Mary Pursley Parsons; daughter, Deborah Faye (Parsons) Gillespie and husband Bob; step-son, Stephen Pursley and wife Cynthia, Scott Pursley and wife Gail; grandchildren, Donnie White and wife Krystal, Katherine West and husband Jeremy, Jennifer Streetman and husband Justin, and Robin McCann; step-grandchildren, Matthew Pursley and wife Julie, Rachel Gosnell and husband Brandon, Michael Pursley, and Amy Saavedra and husband Michael, and Hannah Ruth and husband Rene; great-grandchildren, Harley, Summer, Leila, Kaidee, Kasten, Kasche, Jbub, Kassidy, Kendra, Ethan, Justyne, Josalyn, and Jackie; step-great grandchildren, Oliver, Reed, Maeve, and Xavi. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019, 4:00pm-6:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
