Obituary for Mildred Inez Hoffmann (Jeffares)

Mildred Inez Hoffmann slipped peacefully into eternal rest on January 4, 2021. She was born May 21, 1937 in DeKalb County, Georgia and raised in Smyrna, Georgia by her parents George Forest Jeffares and Annie Lou Bagwell Jeffares. After graduating from Campbell High School in 1955 she married and had 2 children. While her marriage didn’t last forever, in 1970 she married an old friend, Gilbert Hoffmann, and moved to Texas. Gilbert had 3 boys which she loved as her own. Mildred and Gilbert were married 50 years. She loved taking her vacations to go home to Georgia to visit family and friends. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Russell Hoffmann; sister, Jean Jeffares; brothers, Harold, Edward, Dan, and Richard Jeffares. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert E. Hoffmann; children, Lamar Cook, Sherry Schwall (Richard); stepchildren, Michael Hoffmann (Louise), David Hoffmann (Barbara), Gregory Hoffmann; grandchildren, Stacy, Daniel, Kaylee and Joel; great grandchildren, Emily and Will and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. There will be a visitation with family, Monday, January 18, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.
