Maria Concepcion Valdez, 94, of La Vernia, Texas passed away on August 22, 2019. Maria was born on December 8, 1924 in La Vernia, Texas to Tomas Ojeda and Alejandra (Ortiz) Ojeda whom have preceded her in death as well as her husband, Mercedez Valdez; son, Bennie Valdez; daughter, Teresa V. Smith; infant children, Eddie Valdez, Rudy Valdez, Sarah Valdez, and Mary Ann Valdez. She is survived by her daughters, Lydia V. Arredondo, and Delia V. Rangel; sons, Frank O. Valdez and Leonard O. Valdez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, 5:00pm-8:00pm, with the Prayer Service at 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.
