Lorene (Padalecki) Blandford passed away on September 23, 2019, just days short of her 86th birthday. Lorene was born on September 27, 1933 in St. Hedwig, Texas to Joseph and Julia (Ramzinski) Padalecki. Lorene met the love of her life, Charles A. Blandford in the early spring of 1952 at Lubianski Dance Hall during a Paul Jones dance. Lorene and Charley were wed on June 21, 1952 in St. Hedwig. Charley preceded her in death on January 19, 2019. Also preceding Lorene in death are her parents; sister, Isabel Kotara; and brother, Thomas Padalecki. Lorene and Charley enjoyed many years of dancing together, both at Lonestar Fiddler’s Association and Mesquite Trail Driver’s Association dances, of which they were lifetime members. Lorene was also a long-time member of T.O.P.S. where she made many dear friends. She also enjoyed playing Bunco and will be missed by those friends as well. Left to cherish her memory are children, Andrew J. Blandford (Laura), Mary Rose Kruciak (Greg), Lovene A. Fey (Ronnie) and Mark O. Blandford (Laura); grandchildren, Chane Blandford (Brittany), Kristin Rumfield (Brandon), Brandon Kruciak (Amanda), Andrew Blandford (Jennifer), Steven Kocurek (Carol), Kasie Tankersley (Bradley), Brittany Sumner (Brandon), Darren Fey (Kaydee), Chelsea Blandford (Brent), and Shelby Sells (Kyle); 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cecelia Padalecki; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the area. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, 5:00pm-8:00pm, with the Rosary at 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
