Obituary for Lloyd J. Bell
On October 17, 2022, Lloyd J. Bell, 88, of Smiley, Texas passed peacefully from this life to join his heavenly Father. Lloyd was born on January 15, 1934, in Smiley, Texas to Lloyd and Alline (Gidley) Bell who precede him in death along with his sisters, Robaline Sloan, and Martha Combs. On October 30, 1952, Lloyd married the love of his life, Iva Gayle Crook.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 70 years, Iva Gayle Bell; son, Lloyd J. Bell, Jr. (Susan); daughter, Linda (Bell) Murray; grandchildren, Stephanie Chambers (Ryan), Thomas Bell, Lindsay Hajek (Justin), Rachel Murray, and Laura Murray; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Ann Snow; nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was a poultry farmer in Smiley, Texas for many years, and loved what he did. His greatest love however was spending time with his family.
A family graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Bundick Cemetery in Smiley. Pastor Dana Hamilton will officiate.
