Obituary for Linda Fay Shannon (Hutson)
Linda Fay Shannon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister went to be with her Father in Heaven on February 28, 2022 at the age of 74. On October 30, 1947 Linda was born one of nine children to Arie William Hutson and Rosie Ann (Cameron) Hutson in Austin, Texas. On August 11, 1965, Linda married her sweetheart, William Earnest “Bill” Shannon.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Arie and Rosie Hutson; brothers, J.W., Ronnie, Donnie, and John Wayne Hutson; sisters, Dorothy Long, Aris Sconci, and Dovie Hill. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Bill Shannon; children, Tracy Shannon and wife Beverly, Tina McGee, and Timothy Shannon and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Travis, Jennifer, Erik, Samantha, Stephanie, April, Kayla, Linda, Aydin, Myranda, Michael, Matthew, and Mark; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Brust; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, 5:00pm-8:00pm, at First Assembly of God in Nixon, Texas. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, 2:00pm, at First Assembly of God, Nixon. Burial will follow at the Nixon Cemetery. Reverend Paul Brothers will be officiant of the services.
