Linda “Lala” Mendez, age 42, of Stockdale, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 7, 2019. She was born February 15, 1977 in San Antonio, TX to Enrique “Henry” and Selsa “Elsie” (Peña) Mendez, Jr., whom precede her in death. Lala is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ezra Elena Perez; maternal grandparents, Pedro and Anita Peña; paternal grandparents, Enrique and Refugeria Mendez Sr.; siblings, Roland, Robert, Daniel, Joe Henry, Henry III, Domingo, Angel, Richard, Dora and Maria Elena; nephews, Pedro Rangel Jr.; and Brandyn McKay Elkins. She is survived by her loving husband, Ruben Sanchez; daughter, Codie Lorraine Sanchez; siblings, Jesse P. Mendez, Sulema Rangel, Salvador Mendez, Tony Mendez, Johnny Mendez, Mary Shaw, Sally Mendez, and Anita Mendez; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family. A visitation will take place Monday, June 10, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, Stockdale, with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7:00 pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel Tuesday morning, June 11, 2019 at 9:30 am.
