Obituary for Kenneth Wayne Smith Jr.
Kenneth Wayne Smith, Jr. entered eternal rest on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the age of 52. He was born on June 17, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas, to Kenneth Wayne Smith, Sr. and Patricia (Gerth) Smith.
Kenneth was an avid fisherman and hunter. Growing up, most of his free time was occupied by CPS fishing tournaments or spending weekends at the deer lease enjoying the simplicities of a campfire and “real” country music. He enjoyed all the times he spent with his family and friends, from four-wheel drive trips to deep sea fishing trips.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wayne Smith Sr; grandparents, Erwin and Pauline Gerth, and Walter and Iva Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathleen Smith; children, Joshua West and Chelsie Baird and husband Ty; grandchildren Tegan and Talon Baird; mother, Patricia Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday December 6th, 2022, at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia, and the Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
