Obituary for Joseph Edward "Joe" Hurst Jr.
On April 7, 2021 Joseph Edward “Joe” Hurst, Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Stockdale, Texas. Joe was born on February 8, 1941 in Ellisville, Mississippi to Joseph Edward Hurst, Sr., and Maurice (Long) Hurst, Joe married Judith Rose Hill on October 6, 1961 in Houston, Texas.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years Judy Hurst; children, Michael Eugene Hurst (Dodi), Ricky Ray Hurst (Valarie), and Rhonda Rene Trout (Jeff); grandchildren, Blake Weiser, Hunter Hurst, Courtney Monita (Zach), and Carley Trout (Keko); and great-grandchild, Journee Rose Deleon. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and canine companion “Uno”.
A visitation with family will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Nockenut Cemetery in Stockdale. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm.
