On May 8, 2022, Johnny Joe Gonzales of Nixon, Texas went to be with his Lord in heaven. Joe was born on September 3, 1975, in Gonzales, Texas to Ramon Castaneda Gonzales and Ramona Riojas Gonzales who precede him in death along with brothers, Gregorio, Valentine, Jose Maria, and Raymond Gonzales; and sisters, Mary Jane Gonzales, and Beatrice Vasquez.

Joe is survived by his brothers, Lawrence “Lonnie” Gonzales, and Manuel Gonzales (Maricela); sisters, Adela Acevedo (Facundo), Gracie Hernandez (Leo), and Mary Christina Segundo (David); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, 5:00pm-8:00pm, Rosary at 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 13, 2022, 10:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nixon.

Interment will follow at Wrightsboro Latin American Cemetery. Father Paul Raaz will officiate.
