John Roger Zarsky entered eternal rest on July 11th, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89 years old. He was born on November 3rd, 1933, in Woodsboro, Texas to Louis and Beatrice (St Onge) Zarsky.

John is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Cliff Zarsky. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Odell (Richter) Zarsky; sons, Jon Damian Zarsky and Paul Roger Zarsky; grandchildren, John Drew Zarsky, Stanis Zarsky, Gustavo Zarsky, Thomas Roger Zarsky, Claire Ellen Zarsky; brothers, Joseph Zarsky and James Anthony Zarsky; sisters, Loraine Cousins, Bernadine Wood, Mary Delphine Lewellen, Roseann Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

John received a bachelors and a masters degree from Saint Mary’s University in Economics. He served in the United States Army and as a language instructor at Lackland Language School. He also worked for the federal government for 12 years before deciding to build homes, condominiums and apartments in Austin, Texas for 25 years before retiring to the ranch in Stockdale, Texas.

John and Odell really enjoyed cruising and traveling all over the world, but home at the ranch was always the best. A visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, from 9:00am to 10:00am with same day rosary starting at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale, Texas.
