John Angus McDonald, 48, of Gillett, Texas passed away at Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital in Karnes City, Texas on Monday, November 6, 2023. John was born July 2, 1975 in Fort Stockton, Texas to John Angus & Belinda McDonald (Rawls).

John graduated from Nixon-Smiley High School in 1993 and went on to attend the Ford ASSET program at St. Phillip’s College in San Antonio Texas.

John is proceeded in death by; his father, John Angus McDonald; paternal grandparents, Roy & Eva Gene McDonald; maternal grandparents, Wilburn Glenn & Melzora Rawls (Horton). He is survived by; his mother, Belinda McDonald; his sons, John Angus McDonald & Jesse James McDonald; his grandchildren, Caleb Coy McDonald, John Angus McDonald, Brentley Reed McDonald, Phoebe Jane McDonald; his brother, Judd Waylon McDonald; niece, Kaylie McDonald; nephew, Mason McDonald and nephew Layne Stewart.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas. Funeral services follow at 12pm with interment at Gillett Cemetery in Gillett, Texas.
