Donnie “J.D.” Rice, 74, of Nixon, Texas passed away on December 27, 2022. Donnie was born on March 16, 1948, in Catto, Texas to the late George Campbell and Johnnie Leaseman Rice.
Donnie is survived by his sons, Harold Rice (Loyce), Dusty Rice (Raven Hartsell), and Chad Rice (Kelsey Robinson); grandchildren, Justin Rice, Kaitlyn Rice, Preston Rice, Paisley Rice, Madisyne Rice, and Layla Rice; numerous relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers; 1 sister.
A visitation will be held at Steele Branch Cemetery on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 9:30-10:00.
A graveside service will be held at Steele Branch Cemetery on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev Michael Cowey officiating.
