Obituary for James "Jim" Edward Niemietz

James “Jim” Edward Niemietz of Adkins, Texas passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born in Floresville, July 14, 1942, to John Niemietz and Frances Kolodziej Niemietz.

Jim served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Benjamin Stoddert (DDG-22). He enjoyed a cold beverage with his friends and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys play. He will be missed by his cows that he enjoyed watching as they grazed in the fields.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bernice Kotzur Niemietz; children, Roslyn Anderson (Todd), Jeff Niemietz (Ginger), Michelle Mueller (Roderick); grandchildren, Marshall, Mason, and Maverick Anderson, Miles and Reagan Niemietz, Payton Mueller, Ashton Broadwell (Patrick); numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Chester, Zigmund, Ernest, John Jr.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Finch Funeral Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
