James Knight “Jake” Connell, age 69, of Nixon, passed away January 14, 2016 in New Braunfels. He was born on February 10, 1946 in Hamilton, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry S. and Ida Roberta (Doss) Connell, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Prettyman) Connell; 11 children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Max Connell; a sister, Beverly Avery; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
