Herman N. Burg passed away in Seguin, Texas on November 1, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born on November 30, 1934 to Herman Burg and Nena (Brandt) Burg in San Antonio, Texas. As a child, Herman grew up on the Eastside of San Antonio. Herman served in the United States Army. Herman married Jeanette Elley Burg on April 4, 1954. They were blessed with four children. In 1973, the family moved to La Vernia. All four of their children have raised their families in La Vernia. Herman was blessed to watch all of his children and grandchildren graduate from La Vernia. Herman spent most of his years as a salesman for Pearl Brewing Company and Golden Beverage. He retired from Halo Distributing Company.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents; sister Joy Ledet; parents-in-law, George and Louise Elley; in-laws George Elley, Arthur Ormsby, Walter Ledet, Carol Butler, and Richard Parrott.
Herman is survived by his wife, Jeanette; sons Michael (Denise) Burg, Doug (Vicki) Burg, Keith (Sandra) Burg; daughter Karen (Kevin) Sells; grandchildren Christopher (Tiffaney) Burg, Jeffrey (Mistelle) Burg, Gregory Burg, Brittany (Bobby) Parsons, Tiffany (Josh) Burg, Kyle (Shelby) Sells, Katy (David) Germann, Kourtney Sells, Nena Burg, and Grace Burg; great-grandchildren Ramie, Ellie, & Haddie Burg, Connor Burg, Emma Parsons, Grayson Burg, Haegen Sells; Cora Belle Germann; sister, Margo Burg Parrott Walentynowicz; in-laws Marilyn Ormsby, Willie Mae Elley, Bill and Linda Elley; and numerous nieces and nephew.
